In a collaboration with PRISA group, we used fluid dynamic evaluations trough various software to analyze wind patterns at different speeds for an extensive construction project in the Convention District in San Juan, PR. This project acquired a special meaning since it was done immediately after hurricane Maria, cyclone that hit the island with category 5 hurricane winds.
The purpose of this analysis is to evaluate wind acceleration, wind fluid patterns and wind pressure in different key parts of the building complex. The analysis was done with data from a near by airport. The simulations were done with different wind directions at different velocities. A catalog of various possible panoramas was developed.
